The eBay antenna on the bottom was cheap, but did not fit, too skinny

Take off this  round cover plate first by undoing the nut from inside the hatch.  Then remove the mast nut.  Doing it this way will allow the mast nut to be reused if you can get the mast nut off using needle nose pliers with padded tips.

The mast nut on my pinky finger can get torn up during the removal and a lot of folks buy a new one for the install, part number 28219-30P10.
